At Fineboo, every piece is crafted with natural materials and handwoven techniques. Because rattan and other organic fibres carry unique variations, our returns and refunds policy is designed to provide a fair experience while protecting the integrity of handcrafted products.
1. Change of Mind Returns
We do not accept returns or refunds due to change of mind.
The following are considered normal characteristics of natural rattan and are not faults:
- Variations in colour, texture or thickness of the rattan
- Slight asymmetry or visible handwoven patterns
- Minor colour differences due to lighting or screen variations
- Product not matching personal styling expectations
If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your space, please contact us before placing your order.
2. Faulty or Defective Items
If you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and provide:
- Clear photos or videos of the issue
- Your order number
- A brief description of the problem
The following are not considered faults:
- Natural curves, fibres or texture variations in rattan
- Handwoven patterns that are not perfectly symmetrical
- Minor natural imperfections or joining points
- Temporary bends from packaging pressure (usually self-correcting)
If an item displays natural characteristics rather than a fault, Fineboo reserves the right not to offer a refund or replacement.
3. Transit Damage
If your item is damaged during delivery, please notify us within 48 hours with:
- Photos of the packaging
- Photos or videos of the damage
If the issue is minor and repairable (e.g., slight bending that will naturally settle), we may offer:
- Partial compensation
- Repair guidance
- Replacement parts where applicable
Severely damaged items will be replaced or refunded.
4. Exchanges
We do not offer change of mind exchanges. If an item is confirmed faulty, we may provide:
- A replacement of the same item
- Or store credit
5. Refunds
Refunds apply only in the following cases:
- A confirmed manufacturing fault
- Severe transit damage that cannot be repaired
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days. Bank processing times may vary and are outside our control.
6. Return Conditions (If Approved)
If a return is approved, the item must:
- Be unused and in original condition
- Include all original packaging and accessories
- Be returned at the buyer’s expense (unless faulty)
Items with visible wear, damage, missing packaging, or signs of use may:
- Be rejected, or
- Incur a restocking fee of up to 30%
7. Natural Material Characteristics
Rattan is a natural, organic material. Each piece is unique and variations are expected. These natural characteristics include:
- Colour and texture variations
- Handwoven irregularities
- Natural fibre lines, small knots or joints
- Slight movement or softening over time
These traits showcase the beauty of handcrafted work and are not considered defects.
