Fineboo is an Australian homewares brand inspired by slow living, natural materials and the quiet beauty of handcrafted design. We create rattan lighting, storage and décor pieces that feel warm, grounded and deeply human—objects that make a room exhale.
Our pieces are made for the way Australians actually live: sunlight drifting through open-plan kitchens, relaxed weekends at home, breezy afternoons and cosy evenings with soft, golden light. Nothing showy. Nothing rushed. Just calm, character-filled living.
How it all started (the honest version)
Fineboo didn’t begin as a grand business idea. It started with a very questionable rattan lamp found at a coastal op shop. It was crooked, uneven and absolutely charming—and for some reason, it had to come home with us.
That little lamp sparked a curiosity that turned into Fineboo. We became fascinated by rattan: where it grows, how it’s harvested, why it bends the way it does, and why handmade pieces feel “alive” in a room.
A few weaving experiments later (most of them failures, to be honest), we knew one thing for sure: true craftsmanship takes time. Our journey led us to artisan communities who have woven rattan for generations. Their skill, humour and patience shaped Fineboo far more than any business plan ever could.
Fineboo was born from curiosity, not perfection—from appreciation rather than trends—and from a quiet desire to bring gentleness back into our homes.
